Introducing the EC7AW18-ECRT/EDRT series, our latest 16:1 ultra-wide input chassis-mount DC-DC converter, delivering 10W of regulated power within a compact form factor measuring 4 x 2.14 inches (101.6 x 54.4 mm). This DC module is equipped with safety approvals for IEC/UL 62368-1 3rd edition and offers 3000Vac isolation (input to output).
The EC7AW18-ECRT/EDRT series comes in various configurations, including single outputs of 5, 12, and 15 VDC, as well as dual outputs of ±5, ±12, and ±15 VDC. It also features a remote on/off function. Additionally, it meets the compliance standards for EN 50155, Shock & Vibration EN 61373, and Fire & smoke EN 45545-2, making it suitable for railway applications. Furthermore, the EMI complies with both EN 50155 and EN 55032 standards.
Moreover, this series passes the requirements of interruptions of voltage supply Class S3 and the voltage change-over class C2 without external capacitor. With a holdup time of 30ms, it could be considered an efficient turnkey solution.
The EC7AW18-ECRT/EDRT offers the ultra-wide input voltage range from 10~160 VDC, covering the common distributed voltages in railway power systems. Moreover, it achieves the high efficiency to 87%, and operates within a wide operating case temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. The DC-DC converter is also suitable for use at high altitudes, reaching up to 5000m max., and brings the MTBF of up to 1000k hours.
Approvals include IEC/UL 62368-1 3rd edition, and EN 50155, and EN 45545-2 requirements for the essential railway market needs. The EC7AW18-ECRT/EDRT series is fully protected by the input UVLO (under voltage lock out), output over-current/voltage, and continuous short circuit protection.
